Introducing the next generation of MetacarpEdge. Better than ever, the MetacarpEdge V2 represents the next step in climbing performance and rehabilitation. It’s still the only edge board you’ll ever need, now upgraded in every way.

Key upgrades and features include new textured finishes. The wait is over—choose from three premium surface materials designed for comfort and control: Wood-Tex, a soft, porous finish that mimics the feel of wooden edges (note: not actual wood); Granite-Tex, lightly speckled with granite for extra grip while staying skin-friendly; Marble-Tex, inspired by real marble, offering a smooth yet subtly varied stone-like texture; and Smooth Black or Blue, the classic ultra-gentle option ideal for daily training or rehab work.

The innovative V-cord mounting system secures your board at any angle. Dial in your preferred hold—incut, flat, or slope—and lock it there for consistent, reproducible sessions that let you target small-finger engagement and varied hand positions.

Edges have been reshaped for improved comfort and even muscle activation across different hand types. The default depth is now 30 mm (previously 35 mm), and the included 10 mm insert reduces the edge to 20 mm when desired.

What makes MetacarpEdge unique is its unlevel edge design, which aligns edge height with finger length to maximize recruitment and keep each finger in a safe, strong position. The low-injury profile supports the DIP joint, enhancing tendon stiffness and reducing strain, ideal for both rehab and max-strength protocols. It’s versatile enough for clinical use or elite training, customizable to match your hand dimensions, lightweight for travel, and designed to deliver high-end performance at an accessible price. The original unlevel edge is only available from HeadToToe3D.

Sizing options include HV (High Volume), LV (Low Volume), and Custom. HV fits larger hands—men’s medium/large to large, women’s large to XL—with a hand width at the DIP joints of 76 mm or greater. LV fits smaller hands—women’s extra small to medium, men’s extra small to small/medium—with a hand width of 75 mm or less. Custom sizing offers a precise fit based on your individual measurements.

Default specifications include a 30 mm edge depth with gentle rounding for comfort and activation, a 10 mm insert that reduces depth to 20 mm, and a fully symmetrical design for both right and left hands.

Customization options are available for climbers who know exactly what they want. The HV and LV models fit most users, but you can adjust finger edge height and width, edge depth, and edge radius, or even add custom engraving on the reverse side, such as your name or logo.
