A yoga block is a useful tool for climbers working on mobility, flexibility, and movement quality — both in training and rehabilitation. The Manduka Cork Block is made from sustainably sourced, fine-grain cork that provides a firm, stable surface for supported stretching, hip openers, thoracic mobility work, and balance exercises. At 4″ x 6″ x 9″, it can be oriented in three heights to modify range of motion based on your current flexibility or injury stage.
Yoga Block
Description
How can a yoga block be used in climbing rehabilitation?
A yoga block supports positions that require range of motion you may not yet have. It is commonly used in hip flexor stretches, thoracic extension over the block, supported lunges, and balance exercises — all relevant to climbers working through lower extremity or spinal rehab.
Why cork over foam?
Cork is denser and more stable than standard foam blocks, which makes it better suited for weight-bearing poses and exercises where you need a firm, non-compressible surface. It also has a natural grip that holds well on most floor surfaces.
Is one block enough or do I need two?
One block covers most rehabilitation and mobility exercises. Two blocks are useful for certain supported poses or if you are following a yoga program that requires symmetrical support on both sides.
